ERASMUS Exchange

The ERASMUS programme at MA CH enables students to complete part of their studies at a European partner university. The particular appeal of this programme lies in the opportunity to learn about different research traditions and approaches, improve subject-specific language skills and expand intercultural skills during a stay abroad. The stay in the host country should fit into the standard period of study as far as possible; a stay in the third semester is recommended.

The HCCH currently has a partnership agreement with University College Dublin, Ireland. Further agreements are in the pipeline. It is also possible to apply for exchange places at our partner institutes. If you are interested, please contact the programme coordinator.

ATTENTION:

  • After a scholarship has been awarded, you must complete the online registration form at the university's ERASMUS office. Only then is the application process complete.
  • Before departure, a learning agreement must be completed and agreed upon with the partner university.

Information for Incoming ERASMUS Students

Incoming students can choose from a wide variety of courses offered by the MA Cultural Heritage and Protection of Cultural Properties and other departments of Heidelberg University. Since many courses are taught in German, ERASMUS students should have a good command of German in both speaking and writing. In addition to regular classes, ERASMUS students can take German language classes at the International Study Centre.
