About me
I have been working at the Heidelberg Center for Cultural Heritage since 2021, conducting research for my dissertation project on 'The Institutionalisation of Provenance Research in Germany since 1990'. Although I originally studied law and international relations, the interdisciplinary nature of the HCCH has enabled me to reorient myself. My approach is characterised by interdisciplinarity, focusing on political negotiation processes, the history of ideas and critical approaches to cultural heritage studies.
My research focuses on state-organised provenance research in Germany and the conditions that led to its development into a highly regarded discipline. I attempt to analyse its institutionalisation in the context of developments in memory politics since 1990.
