Information for international applicants

Application process

Applications must be submitted entirely digitally via the heiCO campus management system. Registered students at Heidelberg University can log in to heiCO with their university ID and submit an application there under the button ‘My applications for a degree programme’. Applicants from other universities and international students must first register under the heading ‘Click here to go directly to the online application’, create a personalised login account and then complete the online application. Once the academic qualifications and relevant documents of the applicant groups have been uploaded, the admissions committees review the uploaded documents and make an academic assessment. The academic assessment is then entered into the system. At the same time, the student administration checks whether the formal admission requirements have been met.

Please note that only one PDF document per category can be uploaded to heiCO!

Please check your application status on heiCO regularly. Once your application documents have been positively assessed, you will be able to download your certificate of admission there.
